We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Healthcare Specialist to join our team in remote Northern Territory communities. This is an exciting opportunity for medical professionals to make a meaningful contribution while developing their skills in a unique healthcare setting.

About the Role

This locum-based position offers short-term placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered. As a Primary Healthcare Specialist, you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • A minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a general practitioner within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development (RACGP QA & CPD) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program (ACRRM PDP) or other specialist college, as applicable.
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner (Level 1).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
