About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance / Quality Control Specialist to spearhead quality-related site & fabrication activities. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise practical discipline trade expertise and knowledge of site construction related quality assurance across earthworks, concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls activities on site (and in fabrication workshops where required).
  • Verify that Contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and monitor Contractor documentation submittals.
  • Report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement.
  • Support the Construction Management team in developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and reviewing the Project Management System.
  • Distribute QA/QC documentation to site Contractors/Sub-Contractors, as relevant to their scope.
  • Implement the QA/QC management system at project site.
  • Interface with and input into the Completions & commissioning management system.
  • Monitor quality related activities on the project.
  • Perform internal and external audits on behalf of the project as per Project Assurance Schedule.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project QA/QC requirements with the project bidders.
  • Monitor the implementation of the approved QA/QC Plan/s.
  • Monitor the disposition of issued non-conformance reports.
  • Recommend and/or implement improvements when required.

Requirements for the Role

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in QA/QC coordination and inspection in the Resources Industry.
  • C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Appropriate trade, specialist, degree and/or industrial quality control qualifications.
  • Able to solve problems with many variables and unique situations.
  • Proven conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experienced in report writing for internal cascade and management level.
