Job Description

The Collins Submarine Program is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class submarines. The program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver strategic submarine capability.

Quality assurance activities are essential in ensuring the quality of work delivered by our team members. As a member of the Quality team, you will perform governance and assurance work in support of the certified ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

You will have an understanding of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements and develop and maintain knowledge of relevant process, product and contract compliance which will be applied in a proactive audit and assurance program.

This position requires coordination and performance of quality assurance, governance, auditing and corporate reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and perform quality assurance, governance, auditing and corporate reporting activities;
  2. Provide guidance on the management of quality assurance processes and business planning including the review and improvement of business activities.
  3. Develop, implement and review quality assurance and governance procedures, practices and frameworks;
  4. Contribute to the strategic review of quality assurance systems in the areas of strategic and business planning, performance measurement and continuous improvement;
  5. Have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style and language according to the audience's level of knowledge, skill and experience;
  6. Have strong stakeholder engagement skills to build and sustain effective relationships with team members, management and stakeholders;
  7. Analyse and suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice;
  8. Design and implement solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes;
  9. Assess technical packages, reports, processes, product and equipment performance to meet specified requirements and identify and report non-conformances.
