A dynamic role has become available within a prominent dance music label, dedicated to fostering emerging talent in Australia and internationally. As A&R Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and developing artists suitable for release across various labels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scout, sign, and assist with the development of artists and producers for commercial releases
  • Represent the label as a key point of contact with industry partners and other businesses
  • Collaborate with label staff on release creation and implementation
  • Facilitate audio recordings by artists, including producer hiring, song selection, and studio locations
  • Develop expertise in record production, songwriting, mixing, video direction, and photography
  • Ensure brand strategies align with artist and label objectives (local and international)
  • Work with promotions, marketing, and design teams on album and single art packaging, videos, digital content, and promotional materials
  • Review, authorize, and process invoices as necessary
  • Coordinate mixing and mastering of releases
  • Liaise with label management and production departments on release schedules, timely distribution, and delivery of assets
  • Contribute to maintaining the worldwide owned repertoire release forecast with the Head of A&R
  • Stay informed about overseas and domestic charts, trends, cycles, and cultures to enhance A&R decision-making
  • Nurture relationships with the wider music industry, including radio stations, DSPs, agents, media outlets, and venues
  • Guarantee marketable artist concepts and targeted consumer behaviors
  • Ensure contracts and agreements secure rights in the best interests of the business
  • Create recording budgets and P&L reports for potential releases, working within approved budgets
