Job Summary

JPS Medical is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopaedic Registrar to join our team. As an Orthopaedic Registrar, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Orthopaedic department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care and advice on the management of Orthopaedic patients, including elective and emergency theatre cases, admission and discharge of patients under the supervision of Orthopaedic Specialists and Fellows.
  • Participate in the 24-hour on-call roster as required, ensuring seamless patient care and support.
  • Contribute to research, educational, and professional development initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Orthopaedic medicine.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, peer review practices, and continuing Medical Education, driving excellence in patient care and departmental performance.
  • Assist with outreach services, expanding our reach and impact in the community.

About the Facility

JPS Medical is a tertiary Level 3 Teaching Hospital, boasting nearly 400 beds and a staff of around 1,700. We serve a population of 200,000 across urban areas, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities. Our affiliation with Flinders University enables us to offer an onsite Medical School and ACEM accreditation as a major referral center for two years of advanced emergency training.
