Job Title: Specialist Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinician to join our team at the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital (RDPH) in Darwin, NT.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term position for 8 months, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality Infectious Diseases and General Medicine specialist care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist care to inpatients, outpatients, and Hospital in the Home clinical services
  • Supervise and teach junior staff
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
  • Support the Anti-microbial stewardship (AMS) program for RDPH
Selection Criteria:
  • Eligible for specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Appropriate specialist qualifications, including Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent, with sub-specialty training in Infectious Diseases
  • Commitment to ensuring equity of access to quality health care and improving health outcomes, particularly for Indigenous Australians
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
