Job Description

Perth Airport is a key player in connecting Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world. Our airport operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, providing economic, social, and cultural benefits to West Australians.

We are investing heavily in new infrastructure to support our airline partners and offer more services to new destinations. This includes expanding T1 International and building new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks, and our first airport hotel.

The Perth Airport estate covers an area of 2100 hectares and has developed a significant portfolio of existing industrial premises and vacant land holdings. We service a diverse community and play a crucial role in strengthening cultural, family, and social bonds while supporting business, tourism, and leisure travel.

Our team is currently seeking an experienced Senior Advisor – EIA and Approvals who will play a pivotal role in shaping the environmental and planning outcomes for Perth Airport's development projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering environmental impact assessments, statutory approvals, and compliance documentation across complex infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating Commonwealth and State environmental legislation, including the EPBC Act and Airports Act 1996.
  • Proven ability to lead the preparation of high-quality environmental documentation, including management plans and technical reports, within tight timeframes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with regulators, consultants, community stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary inputs and coordinating technical assessments to support major development proposals.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.
