Corporate Counsel Position

The Corporate Counsel is responsible for leading a team of lawyers to provide strategic advice on corporate and commercial law matters. This includes technology contracts, sales opportunities, and other commercial work to support the organization's business units.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing practical and pragmatic corporate, commercial, and technology law advice. They will also be skilled in managing insurance portfolios, leasing arrangements, and litigation. Additionally, they will assist with customer tenders and prepare responses to proposed terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice on corporate and commercial matters
  • Manage a team of lawyers to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to corporate governance
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop business strategies
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and disputes

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Law or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate counsel role
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and technology law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
