Workplace Law Specialist

Avant Mutual's Workplace Law Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join its Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide office.
This role will involve delivering high-quality legal advice and services in respect of workplace law matters to the claims department of Avant Insurance and the organisation's members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional and effective legal service to achieve the best outcome for clients.
- Handling a broad range of workplace law issues, including compliance, termination, discrimination, investigations, and disciplinary matters.
- Representing clients in courts, tribunals, and inquiries, as well as instructing counsel in complex cases.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Relevant tertiary legal qualifications.
- An eligible practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia.
- Demonstrated post-admission experience in employment law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level prioritisation, time management, and self-management skills.
- Good computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment.
