Electronics Engineering Leadership Role

The role of Lead Electronics Engineer is a key position in our team, responsible for delivering market-leading technology and pushing the boundaries in geophysics. As we transition from a working prototype spectroscopy tool to finalising the production version, this critical role will play a pivotal part in driving innovation and product development.

This leadership position involves managing a small team of electronics and mechanical engineers, working closely with other engineering teams across the group. Key responsibilities include end-to-end development and support of advanced geophysical logging and telemetry tools, designing and reviewing electronic assemblies and firmware, and contributing to product innovation, documentation, and scalable manufacturing.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong technical background in electronics engineering, combined with leadership and project management experience. You should have expertise in digital signal processing, fast ADCs, MCAs, and Zynq-based applications, as well as skills in hardware design, VHDL / Verilog, Xilinx / Altera platforms, analogue / digital circuits, CAD, and simulation tools. Proficiency in firmware and controller development, with Linux, C++, and Python programming experience, is also essential.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering plus 5+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership or project management experience.
  • Proven expertise in digital signal processing, fast ADCs, MCAs, and Zynq-based applications.
  • Skilled in hardware design: VHDL / Verilog, Xilinx / Altera platforms, analogue / digital circuits, CAD, and simulation tools.
