Senior Backend Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product & Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our flagship product, 'Notebook', which is a web-based SaaS platform targeted at HR teams.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Sydney with the option to work remotely within Australia.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist other team members in implementing product features that involve the database, API or other backend systems.
  • Work closely with the Product & Engineering team to develop and maintain the backend infrastructure used throughout the platform.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend technologies for our backend infrastructure.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality of backend code.
  • Manage backend services such as Supabase, Vercel, Axiom, Inngest, and Postmark.
  • Develop features such as payroll and expense tracking, leave management, and insights and analytics.
  • Ongoing maintenance of system performance, security, and scalability.
