We currently have two permanent roles available for Family Support Specialists:

In these roles, your focus will be on identifying the needs of referred families and collaborating with them to ensure their needs are met and the best outcomes are achieved.

You're an experienced family support practitioner passionate about maximising opportunities for children's growth and development. Your ability to think critically and find solutions to complex situations will serve you well in this role.

Becoming a Family Support Specialist involves having:

  • A degree or diploma in Social Work, Health, or a related field (or significant relevant experience)
  • Experience in case management, working alongside families using partnership, strengths-based, and family-centred approaches
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
  • An understanding of the importance of early years and the impact of trauma on child development
