
Family Violence Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Family Violence Therapeutic Practitioner to join our team.
This role requires a qualified practitioner who can provide trauma-informed therapeutic support, including counselling, group work, and short-term interventions. You will also conduct robust assessments, develop tailored therapeutic case plans, and advocate for victim-survivors to access broader support systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality trauma-informed therapeutic support to women and children affected by family violence.
- Conduct thorough assessments using formal and informal tools to determine the best course of action.
- Develop and implement individualised therapeutic case plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
- Collaborate with Family Violence Case Managers to ensure comprehensive, wrap-around care is provided.
- Design and facilitate therapeutic group programs to promote healing and connection among clients.
- Advocate for victim-survivors, empowering them to access additional support services.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling (essential).
- Experience working with victim-survivors of family violence or child wellbeing concerns (highly desirable).
- Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check and current driver's licence.
- Strong background in trauma-informed practice and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-centred environment.
- Advanced skills in case documentation, assessment, and data management.
