About the Role

SOS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to join their team in a key leadership role. As a strategic advisor, you will play a crucial part in driving a culture of open government and effective information governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Project Management: Provide leadership, project and program management, and team administration to ensure the delivery of consistent high-quality outcomes in set timeframes.
  • Strategic Communications: Plan and design creative problem-solving workshops and training materials that help influence across-government change in records and information management thinking and practices.
  • Information Governance: Plan, design, and deliver communications tools and strategies that provide sound advice and promote the importance of archives and records to government and the community.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build, manage, and maintain high-quality collaborative and constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes and represent the Territory Records Office at meetings and other forums.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare a wide range of documents, including agendas, papers, and minutes of meetings, project documents, and high-level briefings and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to and participate in a team engaged in significant and transformational change processes.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Monitor and provide accurate and timely reporting on operations, project activity, workload, and resources.
Requirements

  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively, facilitate the sharing of skills, and provide support among stakeholders.
  • Information Governance Experience: Experience providing information governance advice.
  • Records and Information Management: Ability to embed and influence good records and information management principles.
