Transition Centre Manager

About the Role

The Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager to lead our Parramatta Transitional Centre. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the centre, ensuring that residents receive high-quality support and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the transitional centre, including planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of support services;
  • Provide strong leadership and coaching to staff, fostering professional growth, teamwork, ethical behaviour, and a high-performance culture;
  • Ensure services are delivered on time and to a high standard, while meeting organisational objectives;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated reintegration support;
  • Manage business and administrative requirements for a diverse offender base, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a human services related field or equivalent experience in frontline human service delivery;
  • Working with Children Check;
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency;
  • Demonstrated conflict management, negotiation, people and resource management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
