Job Title: Account Manager

Job Description:
  • Manage client relationships to ensure high levels of retention, profitability, and growth through strategic planning and execution.
  • Work collaboratively with senior executives to understand and develop account management strategies, including face-to-face interactions for forecasting and critical account information.
  • Oversee daily resolution of customer complaints and inquiries and communicate updates as needed.
  • Service and nurture assigned accounts to achieve business objectives through targeted sales and service efforts.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers, brokers, and consultants to demonstrate value and build client loyalty.
  • Coordinate group renewal processes, generate renewal rates, present alternatives, and negotiate terms to meet business goals.
  • Assist with selling and servicing large accounts transitioning from fully-funded to self-funded status, including administrative fees, reporting options, and performance guarantees.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to install new accounts, deliver administration kits, and support sales presentations and open enrollment activities.
  • Collect and analyze data to support up-selling of ancillary products and services to achieve production targets.
  • Prepare reports for management review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) + years performing similar responsibilities in a broker agency or healthcare organization; experience with open enrollment, premium/rate development, and knowledge of insurance products and benefit plan designs.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to support essential job functions.
  • Judgment in renewal strategies to maintain profitability and growth.
  • Knowledge of experience-rated renewals.
  • Ability to assess client objectives and develop competitive proposals.
  • Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of member health and business information.
