About the Role

As the Chief Operations Officer, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing all business operations, setting strategic goals, and ensuring the company achieves its financial and operational objectives while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Business Optimisation
    • Purpose: Streamline operations to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Responsibilities: Implement KPIs to enhance business operations, reduce costs, and optimise business processes. Streamline operations and improve resource utilisation. Drive business improvement initiatives.
  • Team Management and Accountability
    • Purpose: Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team committed to achieving business objectives.
    • Responsibilities: Promote a culture aligned with company values. Set clear expectations and enforce accountability. Empower managers and staff to take ownership of their roles.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning
    • Purpose: Ensure the company has the right talent to meet future business challenges.
    • Responsibilities: Develop workforce plans to support business objectives, recruit top talent, and retain high performers. Ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Business Development
    • Purpose: Provide strategic oversight and direction to ensure business development efforts align with the company's long-term vision and growth objectives.
    • Responsibilities: Guide and oversee the Business Development team to ensure initiatives are aligned with strategic goals. Ensure key client relationships and strategic partnerships are managed to enhance market position.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a general management role within the industrial services, heavy machinery, or equipment maintenance sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
