Operational Services provides and coordinates a diverse range of services that support the clinical divisions in the delivery of patient-centred healthcare at Mackay Base Hospital. The department consists of the following key areas:
- Cleaning Services
- Porterage Services

- Grounds and Gardens
- Patient Equipment Loan Store (PELS)
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000 km2 and provides services to patients and their families in various locations.
