Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished Techical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting engagements for Federal Government departments and agencies.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on financial reporting, consolidation, and complex transactions. They will ensure compliance with Australian Government Finance Statistics (GFS) frameworks and mentor junior staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical accounting engagements for Federal Government clients.
  • Advise on the application and interpretation of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Provide expert guidance on financial reporting, consolidation, and complex transactions.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Build strong relationships with CFOs, Finance Executives, and Audit Committees.

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB standards.
  • Experience working with Federal Government entities.
  • Deep understanding of public sector financial frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
