Strategic Financial Leader

The Australian Government is embarking on a historic endeavour to acquire conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines. This endeavour will transform Australia's economic and national security landscape for decades to come.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer in developing and implementing financial management strategies and plans to support the Agency's and the NPS Program's overall sustainability.
- Delivery of budgets to support resourcing and execution of activities across the organisation.
- Provide strategic budget and financial management advice and support to the Chief Financial Officer to assist with decision making through forecasting, reporting and insights.
- Enable financial business partnering functions across the organisation with budgets and reporting to support consistent and compliant outcomes from a financial management perspective.
- Timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting and insights on financial results, budgets and resource allocation to senior committees.
This role requires a high performing, motivated, forward-thinking leader with deep experience and understanding in government financial management, developing and executing an external budget strategy and providing expert financial advice, managing budgets, and delivering accurate financial reports coupled with a strong ability to drive transformation and build financial capability across the organisation.
