Reconciliation Action Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our commitment to reconciliation through the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing reconciliation initiatives and fostering a culture of understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with RACQ leaders and the RAP Working Group to advance reconciliation initiatives.
- Lead internal activities and community projects that promote understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
- Build strong relationships with community agencies and elder groups to enhance engagement and participation.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of outcomes.
- This is a designated Australian First Nations Identified role. Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
- Experience in developing or delivering Reconciliation Action Plans or similar initiatives.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups and drive action.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and an outcomes-focused approach.
- High level of computer literacy and well-developed research and analytical skills.
