About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our commitment to reconciliation through the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing reconciliation initiatives and fostering a culture of understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with RACQ leaders and the RAP Working Group to advance reconciliation initiatives.
  • Lead internal activities and community projects that promote understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Build strong relationships with community agencies and elder groups to enhance engagement and participation.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of outcomes.
About You
  • This is a designated Australian First Nations Identified role. Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
  • Experience in developing or delivering Reconciliation Action Plans or similar initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups and drive action.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and an outcomes-focused approach.
  • High level of computer literacy and well-developed research and analytical skills.
