Environmental Health Officer Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced professionals to fill a key role in our organization.

This position will involve conducting inspections, undertaking sampling programs, investigating nuisances, infectious disease outbreaks, food recalls, and food complaints. You will also be responsible for registration of premises and maintenance of appropriate standards, as well as promoting public health through education and public health programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent, along with demonstrated experience in the health services field. You will also require knowledge of specific environmental, public health, local government, and related legislation, policies, and codes of practice.

In addition to your technical skills and qualifications, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have great problem-solving skills.
