Public Health Specialist

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Communicable Disease Prevention and Control team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for responding to outbreaks and individual cases of communicable and notifiable diseases, including COVID-19.
- Interviewing people in the community diagnosed with a notifiable condition to gather information
- Providing public health recommendations and education to individuals diagnosed with a notifiable condition
- Identifying high-risk settings to ensure public health actions are undertaken
- Communicating clearly with agencies providing support to individuals with health risks or social complexity
- Participating in the development of resources within the unit to support public health responses
About the Role:
This role requires relevant Allied Health, Public Health, or Nursing Professional qualification. Recent relevant technical experience in contact tracing and public health is also required. Postgraduate qualifications in public health, environmental science, or public policy are highly desirable. Demonstrated specialised knowledge and skills in public health are essential. Normally at least 3 years' experience is expected.
