Job Title: Branch Operations Manager

Location: Brisbane - Rocklea

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (On-call as required, including public holidays)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead and support day-to-day branch operations in our waste management division.

You will be responsible for coordinating teams, optimising logistics, and delivering high-quality service outcomes in a safe, compliant, and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily collection and disposal operations across designated routes and services
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate drivers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient job execution
  • Optimise transport schedules, vehicle utilisation, and resource allocation to meet service and compliance targets
  • Oversee and support the completion and reconciliation of manifests, waste tracking documents, and delivery dockets
  • Drive a culture of safety through regular toolbox talks, incident management, and adherence to environmental compliance processes
  • Liaise with customer service teams to resolve issues, manage service requests, and uphold customer satisfaction
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and team performance
  • Provide reports and operational insights to management to support business decision-making
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or senior operations role within transport, waste, logistics or industrial services
  • A safety-first mindset and sound knowledge of environmental compliance practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Confidence in using operational systems and handling compliance documentation
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
