Psychosocial Clinician Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychosocial Clinician to provide individualised psychosocial assessments and support to young people affected by cancer in Canberra.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and surveys to identify needs and wellbeing of young people.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans with young people, promoting self-directed goals and outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing individual support, including evidence-based counselling interventions, psychoeducation, care coordination and case management.
  • Support the psychosocial needs of young people, addressing themes such as grief, loss and bereavement.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related Allied Health fields.
  • Accreditation, membership or licensing from AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, ACA or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering counselling or therapeutic intervention to young people.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build connections with young people and families.
