You will be part of a dynamic team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) as a Technical/Professional Officer, where your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of biomedical technology across South Australia's public hospitals and healthcare facilities.
As a Biomedical Technology Specialist, you will engage in preventative and remedial maintenance of vital biomedical devices and systems, working closely under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining the functionality and compliance of current and emerging technologies that directly impact patient care and monitoring.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to exercise your professional judgement, providing services across a diverse range of biomedical technologies. You'll apply established procedures and discipline standards to support the operations of our unit, ensuring that our systems are not only operational but also at the forefront of innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing maintenance and repair services for biomedical devices and systems

Requirements
• Degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, medical technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in biomedical technology maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of biomedical devices and systems, including their design, operation, and maintenance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
