Outdoor Enthusiast Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced outdoor program worker to join our team.

The Role:
  • This role involves working directly with individuals and groups, facilitating activity-based adventure programs that make a real difference in people's lives.
  • Programs are led by 2-3 staff members and include up to 12 participants.
  • Trips range from 1 to 5 days.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating activity-based adventure programs for individuals and groups.
  • Supporting the Program Coordinator, who leads and manages the program.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary-level qualification in Outdoor Education or Recreation.
  • Qualified in Wilderness First Aid or equivalent, and a current CPR certificate.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Practical experience in at least two of the following activities: bushwalking, canoeing, whitewater rafting/kayaking, mountain bike riding, rock climbing/abseiling (natural surfaces), and surfing.
  • Certifications: must hold one or both of the following: Current Community Life Saving Certificate or equivalent, and Current Swift Water Rescue Certificate or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Instructor and Guiding Qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Surfing Level 1 Coaching certificate.
  • Whitewater Rafting Guide, Canoe Level II or III certificate.

A successful candidate will undergo a Police check, and a Working with Children check.
