Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Microbiological Specimen Reception Specialist. This role involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, processing and preparing microbiological specimens, and utilizing various laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of tasks related to specimen reception and preparation
  • Operate laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges and staining machines
  • Develop and maintain operational knowledge of specimen processing procedures
  • Utilize computer systems and software for data input and retrieval
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Laboratory Assistance, is desirable
  • Ability to participate in weekend and public holiday rosters
  • Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements
