Laboratory Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, including unpacking and accessioning of specimens, simple and complex grossing, microtomy, general clean-up of the laboratory, specimen filing, collecting specimens from medical clinics, and other related duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Unpack and accession specimens in a timely manner
- Conduct simple and complex grossing procedures
- Operate microtome equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- File specimens accurately
- Collect specimens from medical clinics
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a life science preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
- Ability to lift and carry medical supplies (up to 20kg)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
