We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Service Design and Foundations team. As an Assistant Director, you will play a key role in leading dynamic teams to achieve business objectives.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in service design, doctrine, event planning, quality assurance, public engagement, national electoral roll operations, and industrial election and ballot service delivery. They will be responsible for managing the network to deliver operational capabilities, including policy implementation, quality management, and election readiness frameworks.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to build inclusive cultures, promote collaborative work practices, and actively manage risk. You will be responsible for undertaking complex and sensitive work under limited direction.

The Service Design and Foundations Branch focuses on contemporary client-centric service design and continuous improvement. This includes designing electoral services that sustain trust in democracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and delivery of the agency's service strategy and service charter.
  • Design and delivery of the agency's human-centred service design capability.
  • Analysis of the enrolment program to improve and modernise the program into the future and increase digital offering.
  • Provision of regular reporting and analysis of the agency's client service channels, including comprehensive reporting of enrolment statistics and trends.
  • Management of public engagement tools and client services, including client service partnerships with other government agencies.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build inclusive cultures and promote collaborative work practices.
  • Experience in service design, doctrine, event planning, quality assurance, public engagement, national electoral roll operations, and industrial election and ballot service delivery.
  • Ability to remain positive and respond to pressure in a calm manner while committing energy and drive to see that goals are achieved.
  • Makes decisions based on professional judgement, evaluating risks in the context of a complex and changing environment.
