**Behaviour Support Role Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to improve the quality of life of our NDIS participants.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner or recent graduate to make a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability. Our organisation supports individuals and families across Queensland and Victoria, providing a range of services focused on wellbeing and empowerment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building close relationships with participants, their families and service providers during appointments
  • Providing professional information regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce challenging behaviour
  • Ensuring support plans align with the NDIS Plan
  • Developing and implementing intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar
  • Experience or knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities
  • The ability to motivate and build rapport with participants, their families and service providers
  • Strong IT, admin and organisation skills
