**Behaviour Support Role Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to improve the quality of life of our NDIS participants.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner or recent graduate to make a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability. Our organisation supports individuals and families across Queensland and Victoria, providing a range of services focused on wellbeing and empowerment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Building close relationships with participants, their families and service providers during appointments
- Providing professional information regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce challenging behaviour
- Ensuring support plans align with the NDIS Plan
- Developing and implementing intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar
- Experience or knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities
- The ability to motivate and build rapport with participants, their families and service providers
- Strong IT, admin and organisation skills
Benefits of this role include:
