Job Title: Roster Officer

Centacare, an Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, is a values-based organisation dedicated to providing services to the entire community, irrespective of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender, or ability. With a workforce of over 3,000 employees and volunteers, Centacare operates in more than 200 locations, supporting tens of thousands of people each year across various Directorates.

The Role:

Centacare's Community Services Service Support Team plays a pivotal role in offering centralised rostering support for all our community-based and in-home programs. We highly prioritise a collaborative partnership approach, necessitating Rostering Officers to collaborate closely with service delivery staff in generating outcomes centred around our clients. These fixed-terms positions will be based out of our Stones Corner's Office. Following comprehensive training and coaching, remote work will also be part of the weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to roster requests within designated timeframes, addressing urgent requests promptly.
  • Fill shifts in a timely manner to minimize disruption to clients and maximize cost efficiency.
  • Manage staff queries regarding rosters and communicate changes effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including run sheets, case notes, and rosters.
  • Plan roster activities in advance, including proactive approaches to future roster requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable rosters, adhering to business procedures and processes.
  • Adhere to legislative imperatives and WH&S policies, promoting safety within the work environment.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated high level of resilience, flexibility and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, apply lateral thinking and 'think on your feet'.
  • Initiative, discipline in managing own workload and a willingness to get in and get the job done.
  • A commitment to providing a solutions-focused approach and attitude.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate skills in the use of Client Information Management Systems such as AlayaCare.
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS workers screening card and working with children check.
  • Ability to obtain and pass a police check.
