Job Summary

The Roster Officer plays a pivotal role in coordinating the centre's staffing rosters in conjunction with the Manager Human Resources. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the human resources unit within the centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement rosters that meet operational needs, adhering to award provisions and industrial instruments.
  • Prepare and distribute centre rosters, ensuring accurate information is provided to staff.
  • Process staffing variations in consultation with relevant managers, as required.
  • Validate employee timesheets and ensure correct payments, consistent with award entitlements.
  • Provide information to management regarding roster costs and estimates.
  • Review leave entitlements for staff, advising on outstanding balances and excess leave as necessary.
  • Prepare annual leave rosters for staff, collating leave requests and entering data into centre leave planning systems.
  • Respond to staff enquiries related to roster or leave arrangements.
  • Administer bank time, sick leave, and annual recreational leave applications, processing accordingly.
  • Ensure leave is approved in accordance with delegations.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry for rosters and inputting data into various computer-based systems.
  • Support recruitment and selection processes at centre level.
  • Maintain a filing system and respond to general human resource enquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding human resource information.
Requirements

Applications will remain current for 12 months.
