Unlocking Business Value in Hybrid Cloud Ecosystems

We are seeking a seasoned Major Account Manager to join our Sales organization in the Melbourne area, driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and customer success.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of technology sales, with a proven ability to cultivate relationships with existing customers and penetrate new logo accounts. You will work closely with Arista systems engineers to design and position compelling solutions that drive down the total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed measurable sales objectives by leveraging consultative selling approaches and presenting Arista's value proposition to key influencers, decision-makers, and C-levels.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans based on periodic business reviews with prospects and customers, identifying opportunities for hybrid cloud computing and siloed legacy IT systems.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to identify prospects and demonstrate best-in-class solutions.
  • Establish and manage key channel relationships in your territory, formulating tactical plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch-n-learns, and technology forums to engage with potential customers and promote Arista's offerings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies to stay ahead in the market.

Requirements:

  • A BS/BA degree or equivalent, with 5+ years of technology sales experience and a proven track record of direct selling into commercial and enterprise accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Relevant data center or networking (LAN/WAN, SDN) industry background from a technology partner, competitor, channel partner, or end user is a requirement.
  • Strong rolodex and relationships within the territory, excellent people skills, and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Previous selling experience and technical acumen in one or more areas: Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper-converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing.
