The Client:

Our client is a distinguished retail landlord with a prominent presence in the market, recognized for their high-quality assets and exceptional staff retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and maintenance advice across a portfolio of retail assets.
  2. Oversee the procurement of services to meet all technical, risk, and statutory requirements while staying within budget.
  3. Manage essential services, including air conditioning, lifts, and fire safety systems.
  4. Supervise building contracts and service providers.
  5. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and tenant representatives.
  7. Ensure the timely achievement of compliance, risk, and sustainability targets and KPIs.
  8. Monitor and manage energy and water consumption in detail.
  9. Independently project-manage smaller-scale capital expenditure improvements.
  10. Prepare detailed monthly activity reports.
  11. Ensure buildings operate optimally according to design specifications.

Requirements:

  1. Trade background and/or relevant tertiary qualification.
  2. At least 5 years of local experience in a facilities management role.
  3. Essential experience in fire safety and compliance.
  4. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ideal experience in project management.
  6. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial acumen.
