Daily Responsibilities
Your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Ensuring optimal inventory levels are sustained to meet the demands of surgical procedures, in collaboration with the Team Leader and Operations Manager.
- Restocking consignment sets for surgeries to guarantee that all surgical requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintaining effective communication and overseeing the management and scheduling of kit resources, enabling Loan Kit Technicians to efficiently pick, pack, and dispatch loan kits.
- Playing a pivotal role that significantly influences the efficiency of the Loan Kits team, ensuring that our operations are executed with precision and accuracy.
- Supporting our trauma business, which necessitates participation in a 24-hour on-call roster shared among team members, with potential overtime during peak periods.
- Preparing bookings to manage instrument sets and inventory levels for kits dispatched to healthcare facilities.
- Assisting with the packing and verification of sets as needed.
- Supporting all Medtronic Set assets, both inventory and non-inventory, within the facility.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of products for effective planning and triage of sets.
- Conducting quarterly stock assessments of all products within designated territories, adhering to established KPIs.
- Coordinating with freight providers to ensure timely delivery of sets to meet surgical needs.
- Adhering to Quality Management Systems (QMS) for the loaner site, in alignment with Medtronic's ISO13485 processes and published KPIs.
- Complying with Medtronic's Quality, Finance, and Legal policies and procedures, and responding to both internal and external audits.
- Observing all health and safety regulations, ensuring that actions do not compromise the well-being of others.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a related field, with vocational or technical education and advanced certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Medical Loan Kits, demonstrating a strong record of meeting and exceeding objectives.
- Proficiency in computerized order entry and inventory systems, with experience in SAP being advantageous.
- Solid understanding of stock control systems.
- Competence in computer applications, particularly the MS Office suite.
- A customer-centric approach to service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for interacting with hospital sterilization departments, operating theatre staff, registrars, and surgeons.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage high-volume inventory.
- Proven leadership skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to team excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by diplomacy and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Results-driven with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
