Job Title: ICT Monitoring Expert

A leading organization is seeking an ICT Monitoring Expert to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining observability systems within a Defence environment.

  • The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain observability systems using Elastic Stack and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM).
  • Develop procedures and tools to enhance the management and support of monitoring environments.
  • Set up and configure Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM), including component installation and integration.
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize metrics, logs, traces, and events from various systems to ensure full-stack observability.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports tailored for IT operations, development, and security teams.
  • Monitor system performance proactively, identify bottlenecks, and optimize configurations for efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide technical support, issue resolution, and collaborate with other teams for continuous improvement.
  • Implement and manage security configurations including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Monitoring and Observability-focused ICT role.
  • Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Operations Bridge Manager.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (Linux, Windows, networks, cloud platforms like Azure, etc.).
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
