As a professional in the field of energy resource management, you will play a crucial role in optimizing data center operations and infrastructure.

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is responsible for powering our cloud services. As a CO+I Energy Resource Manager, you will be part of a team that delivers foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

You will lead efforts to upgrade legacy data centers and increase capacity in existing facilities. This will involve collaborating with Electrical Engineers and Critical Environment Field Service Engineers to ensure efficient data center operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing IT allocation at the Campus/Metro level and ensuring demands are properly allocated across the IT infrastructure.

  • Engaging with teams and resources to execute tasks or projects.
  • Managing programs associated with the area of responsibility.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate cost-consciousness and adhere to budget requirements.
  • Develop a master allocation plan by performing virtual failure analysis and managing IT resources.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes as needed.
