
Senior Sales Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Development Manager to join our team in Sydney.
This key role involves contacting high-level executives and senior decision makers across various industries to secure sponsorship revenue for our conferences and events.
The main tasks of this position include:
- Sales Strategy Development: Developing sales strategies and value propositions to understand client needs and identify opportunities;
- Lead Generation: Identifying, researching, and generating leads and prospects for the market;
- Sponsorship Acquisition: Qualifying sponsorship leads to secure revenue for conferences and events within your sector;
- Sales Promotion: Promoting and selling sponsorship opportunities and packages at company events to achieve KPIs and targets;
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiating contract terms, signing confirmed deals, and chasing payments;
Main responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of sales figures and paid accounts, effectively managing relationships with clients to increase repeat business opportunities, and working independently to drive sales growth.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree, with experience conversing with senior-level decision makers in the legal and compliance space;
- At least 3 years of strong commercial and/or sponsorship sales experience, with a focus on short-cycle new business development;
- Solid research and prospect generation skills, as well as a customer-focused approach and strong communication abilities;
- Motivation by goals and targets, with a focus on company and team values.
