Job Description

The successful Workday Payroll Consultant will be responsible for delivering expertise in the Workday Payroll product suite and leading the deployment process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expertise in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite
  • Lead deployment teams or coach others to successfully gather and document client business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing Workday solutions, and complete knowledge transfer to clients
  • Work with confidential data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assist integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model, coaching others on product knowledge
  • Resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support
  • Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
  • Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring future growth and development
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation
  • Demonstrate computational thinking and provide insightful status reports to project managers

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years implementing a combination of Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking Solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Functional experience in one or more areas: Payroll, Absence and/or Time Tracking
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Experience deploying multiple HCM/Payroll projects simultaneously a plus
