The Global Client Group (GCG) is a key component of Nuveen's business, responsible for delivering a seamless client experience across various channels. Our team is dedicated to establishing and deepening relationships with institutional and wealth clients, leveraging our global presence in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions.

About the Position

The AVP, Client Services, plays a critical role in the success of our business, interacting with clients on a daily basis, working with Nuveen business partners to service clients throughout the client life cycle, and partnering with sales and relationship managers to deliver a distinctive client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with sales and relationship teams to deliver exceptional end-to-end service for institutional and private wealth clients, developing a deep understanding of client portfolios and service levels.
  2. Manage, coordinate, and respond to incoming client queries, working closely with internal business partners, including GCS centers of excellence, reporting, sales, product, legal, compliance, and operations, as needed.
  3. Ensure all responses to client queries and requests for information are clear, accurate, comprehensive, and timely.
  4. Partner with the Client Transitions CoE throughout the onboarding and offboarding process, staying informed of progress and working alongside the CoE to ensure a smooth process and resolution of any issues.
  5. Deliver client communications on regular and key events, working with internal business partners to agree on messaging and timing.
  6. Update Salesforce with all relevant client interactions and communicate proactively with sales and relationship teams on issues and developments.
  7. Owning responsibility for distributing client reporting to agreed deadlines, using the appropriate suite of reports, and partnering with the Client Information Delivery CoE.
  8. Partner with Private Fund Services (CoE) in the US and EMEA to address client requests to satisfaction, compiling client reports/templates, reaching out to stakeholders, and coordinating onboarding of new clients.
  9. Maintain accurate databases of client/portfolio information and documentation for use by the broader business and maintain accurate client distribution lists.
  10. Organize and attend client meetings, prepare review meeting decks.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 7+ years of proven experience in client service in the Asset Management Industry, including institutional and wealth channels.
  2. BA/BS or equivalent.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to work well on teams and in fast-paced, cross-collaborative environments.
  5. Ability to think analytically and deliver solutions to complex challenges.
  6. Proactive, issue-resolution mindset.
  7. Ability to address client needs by collaborating with overseas colleagues in different time zones.
  8. Detail-oriented.
  9. Self-starter that can manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
