Job Title: Legal Practitioner Level 2

This role involves providing legal services and support with a focus on family violence matters.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Advise on legal matters related to family violence, domestic disputes and child protection
  • Represent the organization in court proceedings, including trial and appeal hearings
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to family violence incidents, ensuring victim safety and perpetrator accountability
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be admitted as a Barrister or practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania with over 2 years' post-admission experience, demonstrating strong litigation skills and knowledge of family law
  • Meet essential requirements, including a satisfactory criminal history check, TB test and working with vulnerable people clearance
