Job Role

The Family Violence Support Service provides specialist assistance to adults, children and young people who have experienced family violence. This service focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of victim survivors of family violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert services to individuals affected by family violence in accordance with best practice principles and collaborative frameworks.
  • Develop and deliver programs that incorporate multi-level assessments and interventions addressing the needs of adults, children and young people impacted by family violence.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, carers and other staff and stakeholders to ensure high-quality client care.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children and young people.
  • Ability to work effectively with complex clients and apply appropriate models of intervention.
  • Exercise professional judgement, prioritise workload and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers and other stakeholders.
