This dynamic role requires a deep understanding of people processes and a strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key people initiatives, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, remuneration, and employee engagement surveys.

A critical aspect of this role is supporting recruitment efforts across the state, focusing on diversity and inclusion strategies. This includes hiring individuals with disabilities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The People & Capability Business Partner will also conduct workplace investigations and provide expert advice on people matters to store teams and Zone Managers. Effective collaboration with state support teams and national office teams is essential.

This challenging role involves managing zone headcount and succession planning, identifying and developing future leaders, and driving team member engagement initiatives. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are vital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver key people activities, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance reviews, remuneration review, and engagement surveys
  • Implement key projects supporting the broader people plan
  • Support recruitment, including employment of people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide advice on people matters

Requirements:

  • Three or more years' experience in a generalist HR role
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build rapport quickly
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience facilitating face-to-face learning sessions to increase team member capability
  • Capacity to travel to support zones
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
