Job Opportunity: Director of People and Capability

About the Role:

This position provides strategic leadership to a state-wide boating safety network. Key responsibilities include implementing programs to achieve organisational outcomes, sustaining volunteerism, and delivering capability services.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement initiatives to attract, recruit, develop, reward, and retain volunteers.
  • Establish a high-performance culture by integrating people, culture, and sustainability strategies.
  • Provide high-level advice on contemporary and emerging volunteerism issues and trends.
  • Represent the organisation at forums to ensure positive outcomes and build partnerships with service sectors.
  • Manage human, financial, and physical resources to deliver client service and performance management.
Requirements:
  • Possession of an Open 'C' Class Queensland Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, coordination, and management of maritime services, specifically relating to community and maritime safety.
  • Ability to travel intra-state in alignment with service requirements and provide 24/7 support from time to time.
