Job Title: Full Time Itamae Sushi and Sous Chef
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi and Sous Chef to join our team. As the head sushi chef, you will be responsible for preparing, producing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes.
- Develop and execute menus that showcase your culinary expertise and creativity.
- Cook orders to perfection, adhering to food safety best practices.
- Select premium ingredients to elevate the flavor of sushi, sashimi and other dishes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive kitchen efficiency and innovation.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and control costs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Time Itamae Sushi and Sous Chef.
- Expertise in authentic Japanese cuisine, including sushi, desserts and garnishing.
- Leadership skills and ability to train and supervise staff.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing, ordering, receiving and inventory procedures.
