Precinct Engagement Specialist

Job Description:

The Precinct Engagement Specialist will lead the development and implementation of precinct-based programs to enhance vibrancy, safety, and economic vitality. This includes coordinating initiatives with local businesses, stakeholders, and community groups, as well as managing ongoing evaluation and reporting for Purple Flag standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate precinct-based initiatives to drive economic growth and improve community outcomes
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, stakeholders, and community groups
  • Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of precinct-based programs
  • Coordinate reporting and evaluation for Purple Flag standards
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations
  • Prepare project plans, including budgeting and monitoring
  • Design and deliver marketing campaigns to promote precinct initiatives
  • Engage and educate businesses involved in precinct projects
  • Develop tools to monitor and report on precinct outcomes
  • Review and analyze data to inform precinct decision-making
  • Present information to local community groups, businesses, stakeholders, and Council

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as urban planning, economics, or business
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and community development
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an outcomes-focused team
  • Strong relationship-building and customer liaison skills
  • Flexibility for occasional after-hours and weekend work
