Fire Prevention Officer

The role of Fire Prevention Officer is to deliver day-to-day activities accurately and efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on customer requests to provide exceptional service. This involves supporting the Annual Fire Season Inspection Program, including issuing/processing Fire Prevention Notices, managing time extensions, corresponding with property owners, and data collection on property information.

Key responsibilities also include assisting in the development and delivery of education programs to ensure property owners are aware of their ongoing obligations, investigating and resolving complaints and Requests For Service from the community, and collaborating closely with a small team to achieve quality service outcomes.

Required skills and qualifications for this role include strong time management and collaboration skills, a high level of competency in computer skills, well-developed written and verbal communication, problem-solving ability, and experience in fire hazards or fire prevention.

This position requires people skills to support stakeholders, well-developed communication skills, highly developed organisational skills, and a high level of competency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and record management systems.
