Operational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialist

This is a part-time opportunity in a hands-on health, safety and wellbeing business partner role that is responsible for supporting the site in the operational delivery of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage inspections and audits to promote safe work practices, and support or lead incident investigations, training, induction, and awareness campaigns.
- Participate in group-wide projects, sharing learnings across sites, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety systems and practices.
- Develop and review safe work procedures, protocols, safety alerts and other safety management system activities, in support of the Group Health, Safety and Wellbeing Systems Manager.
- Provide practical recommendations for risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed safety and wellbeing into operational practices.
- Lead incident response and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Interpret safety data and analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Deliver training programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns across diverse teams.
- Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, and proven experience in a health, safety and wellbeing advisory or business partnering role within a medium to large organisation. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
