Family Support Professional

This part-time role offers the opportunity to work with children, young people and families through outreach case management. Services include family preservation, restoration and parent and child-focused group programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports families referred by child safety services.
  • Provides tailored in-home support including parenting guidance, routine development, financial management, referrals and community connection.
  • Works directly with parents and conducts one-on-one sessions with children and young people.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Commitment to safeguarding children ensuring all practices and activities are focused on maintaining their emotional, psychological and physical safety.
  • Dedication to working effectively with vulnerable families including managing high resistance and complex needs across developmental stages.
  • Strong working knowledge of the child safety system and understanding of the issues that impact on families within this system.
  • Proven ability to develop case plans, safety plans and risk assessments aligned with effective intervention models that assist and empower families, children and young people.
  • Skills in facilitating stakeholder, family, children and young people meetings as well as delivering educational programs to parents/caregivers.
